My Isaac Part 23 You're In His Hands

We'll take it one day at a time, put one foot in front of the other....and trust the Lord to take us through...just as he always has...but sometimes a reminder is needed. *sigh

My Isaac, Our Foster Adoption Story

From my blog...

May 25, 2010 You're In His Hands

Today's post is for me. I need to remind myself of who is in control. This is a quote from a page in my book about our son Justin (Gussy) "It wasn’t the social workers who had placed the baby, and it surely wasn’t us. It was God who brought Gussy to our home, and it was God who had a plan for his life. All he asked of us was to love this precious baby, and to care for him, for however long he stayed with us."

Here we are back in the same spot....needing to trust the Lord's plan for our little girl's life. This song was my response to our situation with 'Gussy,' but it holds true for any of our children. When the Lord blesses our lives with a child, we have no way of knowing how long we have them. Whether through illness, a tragic accident, or some other circumstance, any one of our children can be taken from us. We need to cherish every moment we have with our children and seek God’s wisdom for the part we have been given in his plan for their lives.
