Promises From Psalms; Psalm 16:11

This weeks Promise:

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11

Meditating on Promises From Psalm 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life:

God has shown in his word that the path of life is only through Jesus Christ; He is the only way to God. God's word is where I find guidance and direction as I make my way through this life.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain of our own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:28

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

In this earthly life, I can know joy through a close walk with the Lord. But though this life in Christ can be wonderful, these moments of joy are limited by my human flesh; my weakness, my emotions. Tempered by circumstances, they are often fleeting. But one day when I am in the presence of God in heaven, I'll know fullness of joy; a joy that is beyond my comprehension!

All the Way My Saviour Leads Me is the song that came to mind.

"All of the way my Savior leads me
And He cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me strength for every trial
And He feeds me with the living bread
Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul a-thirst may be
Gushing from a rock before me
Lo! A spring of joy I see."

Join me again next week as I look at another promise from Psalms.
