Promises from Psalms; Psalm 34:17-19

This week's promise again comes from Psalm 34.

Meditating on God's promises from Psalm 34: 17-19

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth

Being a follower of Christ does not mean we will never have problems or encounter difficulties in this life, in fact, we're told here, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous." But we have a God who cares. Our previous promise from verse 15 of this Psalm tells us "his ears are open unto their cry." God hears when we humble ourselves and cry out to him. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
God's deliverance does not mean he will remove the trials, but he is always there to help us through. But the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

As I searched for a song that reflected the message of these verses, I thought of this one:

Come Ye Sinners, Poor and Needy

Join me again next week as I look at another promise from Psalms.
