I am so thankful for the truth of this verse. Our God is so merciful and longsuffering. How often our sin must anger him, but it's only for a moment. He corrects and chastens, but all for our own good to work his will and his way in our lives.
The pain and heartache that comes in this life, as well as conviction of sin so often weigh heaviest on us at the end of the day, causing many nights of weeping. But with the grace of God, and the dawn of a new day, joy comes in the morning.
One day, all the trials of this life will fade like the darkness of night and we'll live eternally and joyfully in the light of our Lord.
